Thiana: AVDELA-A Macedonian Village in Northwestern Greece depicts Calliope and Thiana’s lives. The action takes place in a small village in northwestern Greece-AVDELA, moves to Thesalonika, and later to Bucharest Romania, where Thiana married and established. The book encompasses the 1920s to the 1970s, including events associated with World War 2 and the rise of the Iron Curtain that separated Eastern Europe from the rest of the world.
